Psychologist<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Psychologists diagnose and treat patients suffering from mental, thinking, emotional, behavioral or relationship problems. Such problems can occur to both patients and relatives, such as deteriorating mental state, both temporary or permanent, after a serious incident or from sudden illness or stress. Psychotherapy plays an important role in rehabilitation. This is because people with disabilities or those who lost physical ability tend to have a worsened mental state.  The role of psychologists is to assess a patient\u2019s conditions with various tests such as assessing brain performance, and provide counseling and psychological treatment with the rehabilitation medicine team to enable patients to adjust their mental health after disabilities. The psychologists\u2019 responsibilities also include promoting the prevention of mental health issues, and conducting research on clinical psychology to broaden knowledge and innovation in mental health, clinical psychology, and other related academic works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Services<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    1. Provide intelligence and emotional quotient assessment services and guidelines for teaching and raising children with mental disorders for parents.<\/li>
    2. Provide assessment services for patients who receive treatment in the Thai Red Cross Rehabilitation Center. All patients will be individually assessed by interviews, discussions regarding the principles of psychology, consultation, and the use of specialized tests according to international standards such as an intelligence test, brain function test, personality test, and other psychological tests to determine psychiatric disorders.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Tools<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The tools used ranging from screening forms such as the Complete Thai Mental Health Index, CES-D Depression Scale, and Stress Analysis Assessment to Brain Performance Screening Assessment to Level Three (C) tests to help diagnose psychiatric disorders, which must be done by professionals only such as various personality tests and standard intelligence tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
